In this blog post, we delve into the details of this remarkable project, exploring the challenges faced, the creative vision behind it, and the choice of Liang & Eimil furniture that added the finishing touch.

“The unique design and seamless furniture installation resulted in the client's complete satisfaction.”

– Joana Popova

Project Brief and Challenges

Brief: The challenge was to create a show home for a 3-bedroom flat with a focus on bright, spacious, and neutral design. The client desired a high-end finish with warm colours and rustic elements. A key requirement was showcasing the versatility of one of the bedrooms as a home office, reflecting the evolving trends of remote work.

  1. Challenges: Executing the project during peak COVID posed challenges, especially regarding site visits and introductions within the building. The team navigated these hurdles by implementing stringent safety measures, ensuring compliance and the well-being of everyone involved.

Inspiration and Vision

    1. Creative Vision: Joana’s vision was to craft a neutral design with an infusion of textures and finishes. Neutral fabrics provided different textures, complemented by pops of colour through art and accessories. Rustic elements, such as dining chairs and ash-finished oak woods, added a touch of luxury. The study, with its darker tones and brighter colours, provided a contrasting yet cohesive space.

Design Inspiration: Inspiration was drawn from the surrounding buildings and the apartment’s location. The design aimed to showcase the property’s natural light and landscape while meeting the client’s requirements for a neutral, airy space.

Favourite Part of the Project: Joana’s favourite part was seeing the living space design come to life. The use of different textures, vibrant pops of colour, and patterns on accessories transformed the neutral room into a calm, relaxing environment.

Liang & Eimil Collaboration

“Liang & Eimil have always been a reliable supplier and we loved working with the team to create beautiful living spaces. They supply high quality furniture befitting of many design schemes so we’re able to utilise across multiple projects with various styles. The team are also on-hand to support with any queries or issues.”

        1. Selection of Furniture, Lighting, and Accessories: Decisions were guided by client requirements, budget, and the desired look. Considering the lack of natural light in this ground floor apartment, light tones and cream-coloured furnishings were strategically chosen, along with large mirrors to maximise lighting.

        2. Why Liang & Eimil: Milc chose Liang & Eimil for their reliable and high-quality furniture. The partnership allowed for the creation of beautiful living spaces across various projects, with the added benefit of excellent support from the Liang & Eimil team.

Design Tips

          1. In the ever-evolving world of interior design, finding the perfect balance between contemporary trends and timeless elegance can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavour. Milc Interiors shares valuable design tips for individuals seeking to transform their living spaces into havens of sophistication and style. Embracing a philosophy that less is more, Milc advocates for a design approach that combines functionality, personal joy, and a touch of timeless allure.

            1. The Art of Decluttering: At the heart of Milc’s design philosophy lies the belief that less clutter equals more comfort. The first step in achieving a harmonious living space is to declutter. Milc encourages individuals to curate their possessions, keeping only those that spark joy and seamlessly align with their design vision. By adopting a minimalist mindset, each chosen item takes centre stage, contributing to a serene and visually pleasing environment.

            2. Selecting Items with Purpose: Milc emphasises the importance of intentional design choices. Each piece in a curated space should serve a purpose, whether it’s a functional necessity or a statement of personal style. The key is to strike a balance between form and function, ensuring that every item not only contributes to the aesthetic appeal but also enhances the overall functionality of the space.

            3. Timeless Design Elements: While trends may come and go, Milc advocates for incorporating timeless design elements that withstand the test of time. This involves selecting classic furniture pieces, neutral colour palettes, and enduring materials. By doing so, one can create a foundation that allows for subtle adaptations to current trends without the need for frequent and costly updates. A timeless design ensures that your space remains relevant and chic throughout the years.

            4. Balancing Trends with Timelessness: While Milc acknowledges the allure of contemporary trends, the key is to integrate them thoughtfully into a timeless framework. By incorporating trend-driven elements in accents, textiles, or accessories, individuals can infuse a sense of freshness without compromising the enduring essence of the overall design. This approach allows for a dynamic and ever-evolving space that remains rooted in timeless sophistication.

        1. In conclusion, Milc’s Stiles West project is a testament to their design prowess, showcasing a harmonious blend of luxury, functionality, and timeless appeal. The collaboration with Liang & Eimil adds the perfect finishing touch to this opulent creation.
